Header: Hello All Comic Book Fans
Bulletin: Hello, I'm Hervé (Harvey's French translation) and I'm the publisher of The Comic Book Bin, a comic book Web site that also write about action figures, video games, fan films and movies. We've been doing this since 2002, although many people often think that we're a new site that just popped out. No baby, we've been at this for a long time!

I'm glad to be a part of this community. It's super dynamic and there are so many people we are looking forward to meeting, that we probably would not have met otherwise. You see, unlike other comic book Web sites, we don't have a message board. Well we used to but we closed it. So there are very few ways for our visitors to interact directly with us. We're not sure we want to go back to message board, because frankly, I'd rather be on the look out for new stories than post moderating flame wars!

That's why I like the ComicSpace format so much. I would rather interact with you here.

We're always on the look out for new story ideas, creators and series to spotlight. A lot of the stuff we do has been copied by other comic book sites - you know, those guys you go to everyday - but people often don't know this. They think the other guys came up with that new feature because they saw it there first.

For us, it's a testament that we are doing something right, when the "big guys" keep copying us. But we'd like people to find out about cool stuff directly from us, and not from people who swipe what we do!

At The Comic Book Bin, there are no news, not creator, no series that are more important than another one. We cover all types of material and don't discriminate. Another thing about The Comic Book Bin, is that we do not gossip or do petty attacks. And we don't cosy up with publishers either. We maintain a healthy and professional distance with every one we interact with. I'm fully aware that this may have hurt our popularity, but believe that in the long run, we'll win out. And that's in part why we don't have message boards.

We treat comic books as a serious matter. There's no point gushing all over a creator or a publisher or disrespecting people.

This month, at The Comic Book Bin, we are celebrating women. All of April is dedicated to women. If you are a female creator or fan, this is your chance to be read about. Don't miss out.

There are over 20 writers and editors at The Comic Book Bin, just waiting to tell your story.

Drop by any time, it's at http://www.comicbookbin.com

Cheers

Hervé
