At some point in my life, I can't remember when exactly since my brain doesn't function all that well, I interned at a newspaper called the Jersey Journal. It is a local paper, distributed in the Hudson County area of New Jersey, and actually quite old having been established in 1867. The paper is based out of the great city of Jersey City and is the namesake of the one and only Journal Square.

Actually, to be honest, Jersey City isn't that great at all and neither is Journal Square.

To the point though. While there I convinced them, somehow, to allow me to write a weekly column about comic titles, the comic industry, and just comic books in general. Every Friday I write about whatever book or comic related topic that strikes my fancy, whether it is a brand new title or an old classic that might have been missed by anyone who might read my column. Not only did they agree to allow me to do this while I was interning they continue to let me do this, and they pay me!

Go figure that shit out.

So if you ever want to read the mindless rambling of a comic junkie about his serious habit hop online and check out and The Comicbox.

If any creator is interested in having their work written about in the Jersey Journal send a review copy to:

I, along with several friends, have started a website called The Collector Sector. Anyone who collects things knows how fast a collection can grow beyond a manageable size. Soon enough that prized library of movies, music, comics, or novels grows too large for a simple human to catalog and the collector is left wondering just what he or she owns.

<p>
Stop by and check out The Collector Sector, the perfect place to catalog all of your collectibles and keep track of what you have, who has it, what you want, and what you want to get rid of.

The site is just starting, so stop by and help us grow and see how it develops.

I wish everyone's paper had someone like me, or someone better than me preaching the word of the good book, the comic book.

Hi, William! Your column is very well-written -- I agree that "7 Brothers" is a bit popcorny, but I'm enjoying it so far!
