Been reading comics since 11-12 yrs old. Been buying comics off and on since I've been 18.

My favorite comics have always been Spiderman and X-men. Other comics have ranged from Spawn, Image, to the on-going Civil War comics, Marvel, but also included comics from DC, Wildstorm and Vertigo.

I've liked Spiderman because Peter Parker was a teenager when he was bitten by a spider and you ended up watching him transform from a geeky school student to a confident young man who is still evolving physically and mentally as he gets older. As for X men well thats pure fun watching the different parts of society band together and try to fight evil and realise that its like trying to stop a flood of water by just sticking your hand up and hoping that if you can stop 1
speck of water - you've stopped the flood plus they seem to be constantly working and not ever taking a break (although the same can be said about quite a few teams in the comics universe!!!)

I've found over the years that comics have matured from just being an avenue of fun and escapism to books that will ask series questions about our morals and beliefs society as a whole as the recently Identity Crisis and Civil War have shown. This is also why I believe comics will be around for the future in one format or another.
