Bulletin: Comics industry veteran Paul Kupperberg has joined ComicsCareer.Com (http://www.comicscareer.com) as a contributing columnist. The first installment of his column "Things I've Learned Along the Way" is available now at the website. (Link: http://www.comicscareer.com/?page_id=737 )

"We're delighted to have Paul join us in our exploration of the craft of creating comics," ComicsCareer.Com publisher Kirk Chritton said. "He brings a unique perspective based on more than thirty years of experience in the comics field. In a day when many names come and go, Paul knows better than most what it takes to build an enduring career as a writer and comics creator."

The column will run each Monday over an eight-week stretch. "Paul's topics include the importance of spontaneity, finding your voice, working with -- or without -- an agent, and life beyond comics," Chritton said. Kupperberg is also the featured creator in the site's most recent "10 Questions for Comics Creators" interview, a daily feature that spotlights writers and artists. Kupperberg began his career at Charlton Comics in 1975. He later moved to DC Comics where he's written a little of everything, from Arion to Zatanna. He's the author of several books, numerous short stories and novellas, young adult non-fiction books on subjects ranging from pop culture to hard science, online animation and syndicated newspaper comic strips. In addition to being an editor for DC Comics, he's also been Executive Editor of Weekly World News and Senior Editor of WWE Kids Magazine. His latest work can be seen in the humor book Jew-Jitsu: The Hebrew Hands of Fury (Citadel Books, 2008), a short story in The Avenger Chronicles (Moonstone Books, 2008), back-up stories in every issue of Captain Action comics (Moonstone Comics), and sundry issues of DC Comics' Cartoon Network titles and Bongo Comics' Bart Simpson Comics.

ComicsCareer.Com is a website devoted to the craft of creating comics. It features a new interview with a comics creator each day. So far in 2009 it has featured more than 50 creators including Phil Hester, B. Clay Moore, Mike Bullock, Troy Little, Ande Parks, and Rick Hoberg.
