COMICS AND MAGAZINES

The Comic Store West has the largest selection of new comic books and 'back issues' in the area. We receive new comics every Wednesday morning (except for holiday weeks). All of our new comics of the week are displayed behind our counter so it is easy to see what's new. We also have a large 'back issue' selection and offer hundreds of older comics at 3 for $1.

Afraid you will miss a favorite issue? We offer a FREE subscription service. As a subscriber the Comic Store West will automatically pull your comics each week and store them in a box with your name. You can come in at your leisure and pick up your books. We offer discounts to subscribers on all of their purchases (some restrictions may apply).

ACTION FIGURES

The Comic Store West has a huge selection of action figures including Star Wars, DC Direct, Marvel Legends, Mini-Mates, and more. We usually have NEW Marvel Legends and DC Direct figures out on their release day. Check our current Ebay auctions for older hard to find action figures.

MINIATURES

The Comic Store West offers a full selection of Games Workshop games and miniatures. New releases of Reaper miniatures are displays and the plastic miniature games of Dungeons and Dragons, Star Wars, Wiz Kid’s Marvel and DC HeroClix, HorrorClix and MechWarrior and Axis + Allies. We can special order from a wide range of distributors any type of miniature currently for sale.

COLLECTABLE CARD GAMES AND TRADING CARDS

CCG such as the ever popular “Magic the Gathering”, VS (Marvel & DC), Lord of the Rings, Pokeman and Yu-gi-oh are a constant seller at the Comic Store West, New releases of these products are promptly displayed, usually a day after the nationwide street date.

GAMES

The Comic Store West sells many different types of Role-Playing games, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire and Werewolf, Cthulu, Battletech, Shadowrun, Serenity and Stargate and many more are available. As always, special orders of any game in production can be ordered. Usually if you order by Tuesday, we can have your order in 2 days on Thursday.

We carry miniature games such as Hordes, Warmachine, Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, HeroClix, HorrorClix, MechWarrior, Pirates, Star Wars, and many more.

The Comic Store West features the industry’s highest rated board games such as Carrisone, Settlers of Cataan, Axis & Allies, Risk, Diplomacy, as well as fun card games as Apples to Apples, Snorta, and Flux.

GRAPHIC NOVEL AND TRADE PAPERBACKS

Original stories and multiple issue collections, also called trade paperbacks. The most popular lines are the Marvel, DC, Image and Dark Hours featuring such icons as Spiderman, Batman, Superman, Star Wars, Conan and other main-stream heroes.

The Comic Store West features hundreds of other collections including European Stories - Judge Dredd and Asterix, hard to find newspaper “funnies” collections like Dick Tracy and Steve Canyon as well as obscure independent stories like “American Splendor”.


ANIME AND MANGA

Comic Store West has a wide selection of Japanese Animation (Anime) books and DVDs. We receive new releases of the top rated Japanese Anime DVDs the week they are released.

PAINTS AND PAINTING SUPPLIES

The Comic Store West carries paints and painting supplies for miniatures and for modeling. If you are looking for a specific color of paint we probably have it or can get it for you. We also have a large selection of brushes and paint supplies.

OTHER STUFF

The Comic Store West carries genre specific items such as a large selection of comic related t-shirts, lunch boxes, posters, and statues. Again, if you are looking for something and we don't have it let us know we can probably order it for you.

Our York store has gaming space to accomodate up to about 40 people. We host different games every night of the week and have games going on almost every Saturday and Sunday.
