Growing up, comics were a solace to me. They provided me with a place comfort, and love. Currently as a history major at Wittenberg University, I have found myself more and more interested in studying comics academically. It is an inherent belief of mine that comics are an artistic medium deserving of respect and study, and, as such deserves the respect. I currently plan on going to grad school to eventually get my doctorate in Folklore, so that I can do serious studies into comics in relation to mythology and folklore. Starting over the summer, I plan on independently writing a paper relating to how Fables shows how mallaeble folktales are.
