stumptown comic fest plus after party Comic Art Battle this weekend at Cosmic Monkey Comics

Hi everyone,
We're excited to remind you that at 8PM, Saturday night, Sept 29th, in association
with the 2007 Stumptown Comics Fest, Cosmic Monkey Comics and Oni Press will be hosting the 2007
Comic Art Battle and Stumptown Comics Fest Awards. Although events kick off at
8 pm, we'll be open all day so you can come by whenever you want. We will be serving
beer and wine (if you're old enough or have a convincing fake ID), and also
providing other refreshments like water, soda, chips and peanutbutter and jelly. If you prefer
other alcohol to beer or wine, feel free to bring some and we'll provide a place
for it to either share or hide.

The Comic Art Battle is a lot of fun. Two teams compete in a series of timed challenges.
Incorporating audience suggestions, each challenge involves drawing a scene or image.
The audience decides the winner of each challenge, with the overall results determining
the winning team.

We're gonna play music, talk trash about whichever artists or publishers don't
come, and kill at least one person and BBQ them for the crowd (except for vegans). Don't miss the
fun! (Just kidding about the BBQ)

And for the love of comics don't miss the Stumptown Comics Fest! Are you kidding
me? It's the best thing to happen to Portland since that thing we all liked
so much that one time.
