One Moment After the End
My web comic.

Warning, this webcomic is not for kids. It has mature theams and frequent (justified in context) nudity.

I ask what happens after you die? (Who doesn't ask that sometimes?)

In the last two centuries, we've created a mythic image of the afterlife full of 'ghost like' sprits with the soul being some weird energy beings.

But....

Our ancestors who came up with the idea of an afterlife (and therefor we THINK were closer to the 'source' material, Bible, Koran, Buddha, whatever) had a very different image of the afterlife.

For most pre-modern cultures the afterlife is very physical, very earth like with solid bodies. In Egypt (as an example) they believed they would still need to fish and hunt in the afterlife. It would just be 'easier' fishing and hunting and pain and suffering would be absent.

So my comic is set in a world that is more like the ancients view of the afterlife. The administrators or 'angels' call themselves 'Hosts' and they refuse to explain themselves more than necessary. Don't bother asking for your favorite prophet or attempt to make an appointment to see God; the Hosts are not giving out answers.

The Afterlife if flawed has problems, and even the Hosts have troubles. Indeed it a more interesting 'afterlife' than the classic 'clouds and harps' view, as there are challenges to still over come and answers do not come for free and have a real cost to learn.

Oh one more thing...there is a secret the Hosts are guarding.

And knowing what the right question to ASK is the first part of the secret.

Hey, thanks for liking the comic.
I haven't had a chance to check out yours yet, the internet at my house died, so I can only get on at work.
Which, I get the feeling, wouldn't be the best idea.
