The 411...

I live in North Bay, Ontario, Canada. I was recently married and work for the Government of Ontario.

I am an avid comic book fan and collector, mostly super hero fare but I do 'dabble' into indy titles from time to time.

I have never self-published anything but I have wrote up several concepts and created characters but never persued creating my own comics any further than that...I'm hoping I may get the courage to do that someday.

I'm interested in meeting bonafide creators (people who have courage to do what I am not and that is create), getting some writing and other tips related to the comic business and just chatting about comics in general.

I love the medium but dislike hardcore, negative fanboys.

Anyway, here is my current pull list:

Amazing Spider-Man (complete run from #147 to present with a few earlier issues);
Annihilation;
Civil War;
Goldand (Trades);
Incredible Hulk;
Justice League of America;
Ultimates;
Ultimate Spider-Man;
Walking Dead (Trades);
Wonder Woman.

*Anyone have any good "indy" title suggestions?

Favorite Storylines/Books: ASM Death of Gwen Stacy, early Venom, Dark Knight Returns, Kingdom Come, Marvels, Marvel Zombies mini, Watchmen, Secret Wars (original)...I am probably forgetting a few...

Trades I Want/Still Have to Read/Buy: Maus, Dark Phoenix Saga, Superman: Red Son, Teen Titans: Judas Contract...Any other suggestions people???

ALSO, I have started to draft a comic book script (my first!)and am looking for someone who may be interested in doing the artwork. I can't pay anything but if you have some free time, let me know! If interested or would like to see it as it is for critique sake, I will fill you in but it has to do with a Canadian Super Hero team as I find Canada is severly lacking in home-grown heroes from Canadian creators.

Hey, thanks for the add.
For titles to recommend, I would say Flash by Geoff Johns (it's in Trades), Savage Dragon for old school fun, Mystery In Space is good seeing is how you are reading Annilation and Hulk.
