| Header: | Looking for a screenwriting partner | ||
| Bulletin: | Classified Ad line: Writer seeks screenwriting partner. The situation: I would like to get scripts out faster and get my name out there more thoroughly. In addition, my last writing partner (well one of two) quit on me and told me in a fairly unambiguous way that he was going to pursue other interests. Now he acted like a 14 year old girl with PMS more often then not but we worked together halfway effectively as a team. I also bought a few of his unused story ideas and that set me back a decent amount of money so I would like to get some samples out there so I can get assignments. On top of that, I have found that working with someone else makes me a better writer and there is always room for improvement. While there are a lot of commercial interests, I am also interested in improving my art. I'd like to get a spec done by the first of the year. What I'm looking for: * Ideally, some degree of screenwriting experience. * Ideally, Final Draft. I can convert to PDF or RTF but I would really prefer to work with someone who has compatible software. * I would be open to someone who is interested in any genre. I would really love to have writing partners for each genre (someone for horror, someone for comedy, someone for action, etc.). * I would like to talk to someone and figure out a project idea. From there, before any script/treatment stuff started, we would sign a formal collaboration agreement. If you are interested please send an email to crestmere@gmail.com. Please enclose a writing sample (screenwriting if at all possible, a link to a short film or films would also be acceptable) and IM information. |
