| Bulletin: | Hi. After months of holding my tongue, I'm finally able to announce that I've got a new comic coming out from Insomnia Publications. Cancertown: An Inconvenient Tooth is the story of a former mental patient with an inoperable brain tumour who conducts search-and-rescue missions into a monstrous, alternate version of London. You could think of it as Chinatown meets The Wizard of Oz. I've posted the full press release on my blog, but here's the condensed version: At Bristol this year, Insomnia Publications will be previewing a book currently in production and due for release later in the year - Cancertown. The first chapter can be viewed at the Insomnia Publications stand. Cy “Starship Troopers” Dethan (writer of the book), Stephen Downey (incredible Irish pencil and ink talent) and Nic Wilkinson (lovely letterer) will all be present at the show. Unfortunately, Mel Cook, recently emigrated to Canada (colourist), will not be able to attend. The book will be released as a 144-page graphic novel, but the plan is for the individual chapters to also be released via Wowio. |
