Welcome to my corner of ComicSpace. My name is Brian and I am the sole artist/manipulator/photgrapher/writer/dark overlord of my own little company, DARK ZONE GRAPHICS. Since art doesn't pay the bills I work for the Texas Department of Public Safety in the Customer Service/Driver License Bureau.
I was born an artist and realized the direction that I wanted to take it in when I picked up issue 223 of Uncanny X-Men and was blown away by the artwork that I saw. Yes there has been much better before and since, but to me that particular issue held the best I had seen up to that point. From that moment on I wanted to do comic-styled artwork, and have pretty much ever since. I refuse to bow down and worship any particular genre of art or writing, as I find it to be much more freeing to jump from one to the other and back whenever I feel like it. I know that this can be very disorientating to people, but I don't really care. I would much rather appeal to a much smaller audience willing to delve into many different styles than have to cater to those who are so narrow-minded that to venture outside their banal sphere of enjoyment is nothing short of blasphemy.
