"Darker" has ended and the next story hasn't started yet. This must mean I'm on my between-story hiatus. This isn't me slacking off... this is me getting my models, characters, scenes, and other assets ready for the next story. Normally I take two weeks to do all that, and that's what I intend to do here. BUT, it just so happens that I'll be out of town for exactly two weeks, and there's no way to tell how much of that work I'll be able to do from a hotel room. So, the hiatus is two weeks long, but I might need to tack on a few more days if I haven't had time to do anything by the 12th day. I'll keep you informed.

I've selected nine images from the Book of Dark places story "Saint Noir," and posted them in a gallery. On the surface, this story deals with a supernatural serial killer with an equally supernatural motivation. But on a deeper level, it speaks on forgiveness: who should get it and at what cost?

Had my laptop stolen. TWO laptops, actually. None of my art or writing was on either, but I DO have a day job and they weren't too happy with me having to reschedule important meetings because some ASSHOLE was walking around with critical files. No... actually they were reasonably cool (with one exception); it was ME that wasn't too happy. Anyway, do me a favor: No matter where you are or what city you live in, if you EVER encounter someone selling stolen electronics, kindly douse the thieving bastard with fresh gasoline and set them on fire for me. But be sure to put them out before they die because lifelong suffering is always a better revenge than outright death. Could ya do that for me? Thanks, I appreciate it!

I've selected a few cool images from the first Book of Dark Places story, "Damnation Denied" and uploaded them in the gallery. If they catch your eye, then maybe you should check out the full tale in my archives.

The Book of Dark Places

From the BoDP story: "Darker"

The Book of Dark Places is a multimedia horror anthology. You can call it a webcomic if you wish, although it has litte in common with other so-called "horror webcomics." The stories contain elements of science fiction and the supernatural woven into tales of violence, vengeance, and evil. What you will not find are jokes, talking animals, or anime. If you like your horror "cute" or "funny" then the internet is full of "horror" webcomics that fit your needs. But if you crave the real deal, then check out The Book of Dark Places.

The current story, Darker, brings the living and the dead together for an exercise in bloody vengeance. Previous tales include Saint Noir, the story of a supernatural killer attempting to slaughter his way to forgiveness, and Damnation Denied, in which the prison of the future attempts to "cure" evil with technology.

Thanks for the add! It's always great to see other webcomic creators who are pushing the medium and not just producing print comics on the Web.
