Write to the LA Times to ask them to reinstate Candorville, & your character gets a cameo appearance

Do you read the nationally syndicated comic strip Candorville, and would you be interested in having one of your characters appear in a cameo in a future Candorville strip? Read on...

As some of you know, the LA Times recently cancelled Candorville and La Cucaracha. Lalo Alcaraz mobilized enough readers to write in that the Times reconsidered and reinstated La Cucaracha, and I'm counting on all my friends to help do the same for Candorville.

The Times has told us that so far not enough people have written in to make them change their minds, which means, they ARE paying attention. They're keeping an eye out, waiting for your letters. If we want Candorville to survive, it can't lose big papers like the Times, and to keep the Times, letters have to pour in a.s.a.p.

Please write to the Times at readers.rep@latimes.com and send a copy to letters@latimes.com, and a BLIND cc (bcc) to candorville@gmail.com as soon as you can, telling them they made a mistake and you want them to restore Candorville to the comics page.

If you do this, and pester your friends, family, and pets to do the same, we've got a shot. Anyone who sends me a bcc of their e-mail to candorville@gmail.com will get a free copy of the Candorville book of their choice IF the Times reinstates Candorville. If you already have both books, you can choose either another free copy, a signed print of the strip of your choice, or a signed original sketch. OR - and this one's the cool one - you can choose to receive a cameo appearance for either yourself or, if you're a cartoonist, one of your characters in a future Candorville comic strip (details to follow IF the Times reinstates Candorville).
