I love comics. I've been collecting them for thirty years and even with the ones I've sold back, traded or tossed out, I've still got 12 longboxes full of the darn things. The pride of my collection is my House of Secrets 92. The biggest embarassment is how many Dazzler #1s I bought.

I always loved creating characters and I still have stacks of my old sketches. One of the biggest regrets of my life was back some twenty years ago. I had re-conceived The Legion of Monsters (Marvel Premeire #28) and I took my sketches to the San Diego Comic-Con. A friend of mine that owned a comics shop got Al Milgrom to take a serious look at my stuff and he was buying it! And I never followed up.

Since then I became a successful art director, a relatively successful illustrator (lately at least), and a bit of a seasonal cult celebrity come Halloween. But I always regretted not getting into comics.

I did get to do a pinup in Steve Niles' FUSED TPB. That was fun. I hope I get to do more.
