Update as of July 27th, 2009
Dusk is now finished and can be purchased at Amazon.com

The second volume should be coming hopefully by the end of the year. The artist for that volume is Jolene Houser.

Dusk comes from my long fascination with vampire stories and lore and with my current disappointment with how vampires are currently viewed in Pop Culture (as a Hollywood Action Star basically). I'm not trying to make a grand vampire epic or anything, just tell good solid vampire stories that deal with the traditional vampire concepts of damnation, redemption, temptation, and sensuality.

More on Dusk -
As a battered wife, Eve's only concern was to keep her marriage together. But when she is kidnapped into the sordid supernatural world of vampires and foul magic, Eve finds she doesn't want to leave. Her mysterious benefactor, the Vampire Lord Ash, wish her to have a normal life but Eve chooses to stay in the service of Ash. Dusk is the stories about Eve and her challenges living in the darkness. Dusk is a supernatural action/drama story done in a dynamic blending of the sequential art styles of American Comics and Japanese Manga. Several artists help tell these stark noir tales of Vampires and Unrequited Love. 100 Pages 10$ Retail B&W Interior Art.

Don't mention it.

always a good time to meet comicbook lovers.

Hey there,

I checked out Dusk, and it looks fantastic. Great job! :) Video game writing is a litte different to comics but it depends on the game really. There's the character dialogue, the text for the cut scenes, and the introduction/ending sequences. I really enjoy doing it, it's lot of fun writing for video games. :)

Good luck with Dusk by the way!

Oh that, slight delay with production, but I've gotten it all straigthened out and it should all be done in November (Middle of it at earliest).

You want me to write a review based on the first chapter alone?

Well the first chapter was written to stand on it's on, all 32 pages of it. So I figure if it doesn't work well as a story into itself, then I did something wrong.

If you prefer you can wait to review it until all 4 chapters are out.

Have you heard of the Dallas Comic Con? There's one this weekend and they have one in October. I usually either attend or have a table out there. www.scifiexpo.com. It's cheaper and more quaint than Wizard World. Maybe we could even collab on a project sometime?

I need to get out to Dallas, My good friend Richard Dominguez who created EL Gato Negro is out there and he keeps telling me to go and check it out...I'm involved in the War of the Independents along with Aym Geronimo and Bluewing, alos from the Dallas/ Ft Worth area...I'm defintely going to try my hardest to get out to WWTX this year!

and as far as collabs, what did you have in mind?

I've worked some with Scottie Ray Watson (aka Swat) who's character Talon is in the War of the Independents (and just got the most votes ever in the Small Press Idol). Dallas Comic Con is a nicer place to meet with fans and other creators.

Well for collabs, I am working on a "Monster Squad" story for PostiveBrand.net (which are out of Dallas too) and I can't seem to get the right feel for it.

David,

Check out our latest comicbook, RoboPlanet. (positivebrand.net) Tony Pacitti wrote it and I did the art. Tell me how you like it. I'd love to get your feedback.

Thanks,

Mike
