Small Press Idol and The Retriever

A little more than a month ago, a door opened at a small press forum called Dimestore Productions.

The door led to a large stage. Three men sat at the foot of the stage as comic book pitch by comic book pitch stepped up and presented themselves with as much mustered splendor as they could manage. And a vote was cast by each judge, deciding the fate of each pitch with a cold, calculating "yes" or "no".

Thus began SMALL PRESS IDOL, a judged and voted comic book contest like no other. Over a hundred pitches came to bat.

30 fell immediately. Many just squeaked by. Several were unanimously voted through. Two bowed out.

Now there are 69(snigger) projects left. And THE RETRIEVER is one of them.

I've got a good chance at moving onto Round 3, but I need your help. If you're a fan, go here , now and set up a simple forum account... Then go to the Retriever Round 2 topic and reply with a simple "YES". And your vote will be cast. While you're there, check out the immense amount of varied talent inhabiting the halls of that hallowed forum. Give your support to independent comics all over the world!
