WHAT IS DEATH WALKS THE STREETS?
DEATH WALKS THE STREETS (DWTS) is an independently-produced, genre-bending multi-media project involving theatrical feature films along with print and new media, and anciliary properties. Three years in-the-making, DWTS began as a concept for a feature film only, and has since been expanded to include the above listed media, all being developed simultaniously, outside of the major studio system.

THE COMIC: DEATH WALKS THE STREETS is the comic extension of the upcoming independent feature film series of the same name. Published by THE SCREAM FACTORY - the World of DWTS combines the crime, horror, and thriller genres into a historically accurate alternate reality.

DEATH WALKS THE STREETS #0 made it's public debut at WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO 2008 with a Wizard World Exclusive limited to only 333 pieces. The exclusive featured cover art by MARK KIDWELL (BUMP).

THE FILM: One of only three independent films nominated for "Most Anticipated Movie of 2007" for the SpikeTV Scream Awards, DEATH WALKS THE STREETS features an award-winning cast and crew including Production Designer Gregory Hill (Law & Order, Devil Wears Prada), Composer John Roome (Masters of Horror, The Orb) and Visual FX by Robert Kurtzman's Precinct 13 Entertainment (Devil's Rejects, Hostel, The Rage). The film is being helmed by first-time Director James Zahn, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Ben Brezinski.

THE PODCASTS Over the duration of development and production, the DWTS Team has been documenting their experiences, with audiences invited to follow along through our acclaimed series of Video Podcasts ("Editor's Pick" - IFILM, "Featured Filmmakers" - MySpace) and through our frequently updated blogs. While the podcasts offer a small glimpse inside, a feature-length documentary about the DWTS project is currently expected to accompany the first feature film during it's eventual DVD release. The podcasts were recently honored by Myspace and The National Television Academy in May 2007 as winners of "MyEMMY" in the category of "News & Documentary: Arts, Lifestyle, and Culture Programming" and are moving onto official Academy Judging for a Broadband EMMY AWARD.
