A summary for the below: i got into comics recently, im an artist, i decided to start working on my own comic...

I very recently got into webcomics (only a few weeks ago, a month tops) thanks to a webcomic called Bestiality (dont judge a book by it's cover), I really liked the concept of the badass action combined with furries...

This really inspired me, I've always liked drawing and writing (and am quite good, if I may say so myself... I'm not very humble, you might have noticed), so I decided to start writing a story for a comic, page by page...

At this point I had finished all of Bestiality (the story line never finished, but its been 2 years since the last update, so I think they gave up), but I had to go with my parents on vacation (we've got a little cottage in the Laurentians), and because it's in the middle of nowhere, all we have for internet is dial-up... this'll come into play later. Being several pages into the story, figured I oughtta at least sketch up the characters before continuing... I used (and am still using) lotsa different pictures from the internet to model my characters, whether from Bestiality or just googling... of course, each picture took a few minutes to load...

while looking for more inspiration for my comic, I found Blue Crash Kit which I absolutely fell in love with... unfortunately for me, its a daily comic, and i found it 2 years after it had started... and being me, i was determined to read through them all, start to finish, on dial-up...

I kept working on my characters, though between snowboarding in the day, and reading the newfound comic at night, I didn't have much time...

my family 'n I came back from the cottage today, and I finished BCK in 30 minutes which would have taken 2 nights on dial-up, and finally got a chance to check the site forums... there was a link here, so i decided to sign up... figured I'd be better off showing my drawings here than clogging the BCK forums with em... and i hope i can get some feedback, once I figure out how to work this site...


Anyways, now that I'm done that overly long story about my very brief experience in comics, a little bit about myself:

I'm Zach, I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and I love it... wouldn't trade this city for anything... I'm in grade 10, for anyone not from this country... or province, for that matter... thats the 2nd last year of high school in Quebec. My two option classes are Fine Arts and Computer Arts, the rest are mandatory. I'm 15... and yes, that is young for the 2nd last year of school... I was born in august, so im kinda in between grades, on the younger end... my hobbies/intrests/whatnot are snowboarding, music, hanging out with friends, playing computer (world of warcraft and Battlefield 2142 are the big ones atm, but its always changing) and, of course, drawing...

I've recently undergone somewhat of a transformation... I hate using that term, cause it sounds really cheesy, but I couldn't really think of anything better... going through this whole comic thing, and hearing about all the problems at La Casa de Chaos while reading BCK really struck me... sorta made me realize that I'm really not gonna be able to glide through life like I was able to with school, and that I don't wanna be stuck doing something boring, that I don't really like... so I've been working a lot on my artistic skills, I'm trying to be more outspoken, and I'm trying to be a lot less of a procrastinator (if I had to point out my biggest character flaw, that'd be it) among other things that you probably wouldn't understand unless you knew me...

anyways, thats me in a nutshell... a very big nutshell (for a very big nut)
