Visit my website http://www.digitalmaniac.net This piece of Captain America and the Falcon was the first thing I ever inked digitally. This is a sample I inked traditionally for Top Cow April 21My website, Digital Maniac is up and running as of today. It's a little crude and is a work in progress and will update intermittently until I get all the bells and whistles in hand. There is artwork and stories and a running serial of my novel Mask of the Crime Czar. So you'll have to come back from time to time to read the entire novel. I've been working with DAZ studio 3-D software and find it very rewarding. As I learn more about the software I hope to be able to use it in a web comic I have in mind. The software for DAZ3D is free to anyone who'd like to download it and give it a try. http://www.drunkduck.com seems to have a number of web comics done in 3-D and the effects are phenomenal. Certainly this won't affect traditional print comics but it makes reading comics on the web more fun. Dec 10I used to be a traditional inker of comic books and even did some work for some small press and private individuals but never could break into the big time. Then I did the unthinkable in the profession and went over to the dark side; I became a digital inker with a Wacom tablet and a stylus. I was lured by the likes of Al Mackey (who has a web site tutorial on digital inking) I even contributed to an article in CBG on the differences between traditional and digital inking. Unfortunately the time demands of my day job made it difficult to find time to work on my art. I've written several short stories and had some printed in obscure Science Fiction magazines that unfortunately no longer exist. I've posted a few of my stories at short-story.netRecently I have carved out some time from my schedule to devote to the things that interest me most... comics. To that end I am currently building a website that will contain my art and writing and eventually a regular comic strip. Hopefully, by the first of the new year the site will be up and running. For those interested it will be at www.digitalmaniac.net

Hey thanks for the digital artwork links-serously, that sexy drawing guys guides are really good! I have about 12 or 15 other guides I'm gonna post that are of similar quality! In the short term, though go head to my friends list and check out Brian Denhams IllCraft digital drawing guides-they are *mind blowing*, and really well put together! 1 Reply [ Latest posted on May 14th, 2007 8:22 AM ]

Hey Victor, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get paid for your work. We have some artwork from Committed Comic on our website to showcase the work we've done for other companies. Many artist in our studio did some work for Committed as well, we have a lot of stuff that didn't get printed there either.
