Penciller and Inker wanted for Project

Graphic Illusions Studios is currently looking for a penciller and inker to be part of a creative team to work on a comic book mini series set in Feudal Japan.

Serious and Interested candidates should be ready to submit their three-page submissions to Graphic Illusions Studios c/o Dion Floyd at dino2635@yahoo.com. Your three-page submission can showcase any ‘known’ property. You may submit your non-returnable portfolio samples to us via snail mail, but digital formats are preferred.

At this time no choice has been made between a traditional pencil and ink style or a fully painted style although we’re definitely leaning towards the latter and are seeking individuals who can show attention to detail, great storytelling, realistic lighting and backgrounds, and who have a passion for the comic book medium. The rate per page for a separate penciller and inker are 100.00 each or 200.00 if the penciller and inker are one in the same. The rate page is per book for three books.

When we get down to our top 5-10 candidates we'll be asking for some character designs based on the creator's specific descriptions. We'll be treating this like an animated project with a short round of preproduction art being handed in showing off the coolest and most consistent character designs and a character size chart to put the cast of characters’ physical dimensions into perspective. This will give everyone on the production a detailed and definitive visual basis to rely on throughout the project's life cycle.
