Paradigm Shift

"Paradigm Shift" chronicles the strange events surrounding a
series of bizarre murders in Chicago. Detectives Kate McAllister
and Mike Stuart hunt the for the savage nocturnal killer, but are
they searching for man or beast? And does Kate know more
about the attacks than she realizes?

However, before they find the truth, they'll have to tangle with
gangsters, the media, and the Feds.

Yeah, I'm Dirk, creator of this monster, here. I've had it online since 1999, and it's been on Modern Tales since the site's inception in 2002. However, since the big changeover this past summer, I've moved the main operation over to Webcomics Nation.

Somehow I've managed to make the transition from working on art in my spare time to doing it full time as a freelance illustrator. I even recently self-published the second book of the series, too. If you've got any advice on how to get books into bookstores, I'm all ears.

In addition to all that nonsense, I also run an artist's gathering in Chicago called ART NIGHT, so if you're ever visiting the Windy City, please drop me a line.

Cool! I'll definitely see you at both. I'll have a dealer's room table at Detour, though. I missed out on AA, but the prices for a dealer table were reasonable, so I jumped. It'll be interesting.

Paradigm Shift was one of the 1st webcomics I found that I REALLY liked (and the reason I subscribed to Modern Tales back in 2002, 2003??) -- I've been a fan ever since. Can't believe I've never written you fanmail... ^_^;;;
