But the costumed entertainment game can be a tough racket, and sometimes you’ve got to crawl up from the muck to make it to the top. Welcome to the muck – River City, home to Division 18 of the Union of Novelty Costumed Performers. Follow Jimmy, a wise-cracking thug in an 8-foot snake suit, and his misfit mascot mafia as they try to get a leg up on the man and make an honest (and sometimes dishonest) buck. This book has comedy. It has violence. And yes, it has a monkey.
