Derek …was born in Boston and claims to have become a cynic after finding out the dish ran away with the spoon. In his teens he harbored dreams of becoming a writer and currently studies the craft at Southern New Hampshire University

Fate would take another turn. After a personal family tragedy caused Derek to re-evaluate his life, he decided to begin creative writing again, something he hadn’t taken seriously since before he picked up a guitar. A few well-honed spec scripts later and the rest was history.

It has been his dream since he was twelve to write for the comics he grew up adoring.
