Bulletin: I will be going to Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco CA on Nov. 1 & 2 to publicly embarrass myself by selling my comics and other personal junk. I’ll be sharing a table with Theory Productions, a “production company” my long suffering friend, Poor Ted, is “responsible” for.

During my conversation with Ted, he mentioned the idea of skipping the convention on Sunday and just go out on the town. He figured this will be more interesting than past APE/SF trips as there would be, as he put it, demonstrations and protests on every corner, thanks to the collision of the presidential campaigns and the Prop. 8 (California’s anti-gay marriage measure) hoopla, just two days before Election Day.

However, I just found out that there’s a local SF proposition that’s also pending on Election Day. It’s called Prop. K and it “decriminalizes” prostitution.

Right about now, Ted is hiding under his desk in fear of the convergence of this political stampede that might happen and I’m giggling with anticipation while firing up my digital camera. If everything we fear about what MIGHT happen happens, I may never make it to Amoeba Records at the Height/Ashbury area and record all the brouhaha like a reporter stuck in Israel’s war zone.

Can’t say the universe doesn’t have a sense of humor.
