Personal: I'm a freelance commercial artist by day, comic writer/artist the rest of the time. I've been interested in comics since I was 8 years old when my father, not quite sure what to get me for my birthday, hauled out a pile of comics he'd bought on the way home from work. Since that day, comics (and newspaper comicstrips) have been a part of my life. I've collected, sold, created, drawn, wrote, lettered, colored... comics, a wonderful visual medium. My son collects (though not to the degree I have), now my grandkids are slowly getting into the feel of it (albeit a bit too early to tell if the 'fever' will stay with them).

Works: My first 'professional' works were published when I was a member of Interfan, penciling spot illoes and comic strips published in fanzines in the 70s. From there, Rick Burchett, Paul Daly and I, friends already, decided to self-publish. We published 4 issues of the comic anthology, Swashbucklers, and 4 or 5 issues of the mini-comic, Vista Graphics Digest, each issue dedicated to a particular series or anthology.
Paul and I created the Terranauts in the mid-80s and the 1st issue was published by Fantasy General while Rick went on to greater fame inking Joe Staton's E-Man for First Comics. I also worked with Bill Black and AC Comics for most of the 80s on the (still published) Femforce and my own character, Colt, once a backup in the AC Comics line. During the next 15 years, I worked in the commercial art field while working peripherially in comics, in one form or another. Companies like Solson (Jim Lee
and I worked on Samurai Santa. Ask him about that sometime), AC Comics, Caliber, DC Comics... and others I can't quite remember. Paul Daly and I put together the Terranauts again, this time as an online comicstrip for Adventure Strips, some years back and we've been doing it ever since.
We're also working on a 3-issue Terranauts mini-series for Ape Entertainment. Read The Terranauts right here on ComicSpace. The color comic strips will be uploaded twice a week, along with character bios and illustrstions and cover previews of the Ape mini-series... Look for it!

Sons of the Saddle

A big western fan, I wanted to do a comic strip that had the elements of a western, a gag strip strip, big foot characters.
