I make comics because I LOVE the medium!!
Pure and simple...
Reading, drawing comics; copying my favorite artists:
KIRBY
DITKO
BUSCEMA
Then...
ADAMS
STERANKO
KANE
EISNER
let's not forget...
STARLIN
POLLARD
PEREZ
BYRNE
RUSSELL

gave me hours of pleasure/ joy and a creative outlet.
The outlet part is STILL there; making webcomics provides
a vehicle to get ideas across. D*Roc has been a pet project
of mine since art school. After MANY rejection letters from
Everyone; I kept it on the back burner.
With the arrival of the digital age, art-based/artist friendy
software & hardware I now have a chance to put my idea back in the eyes of the public.
Whether it's liked or not and/or if I make a dime is a moot point: I have a chance to
EXPRESS
EXPERIMENT
and get
EXCITED
about comics...AGAIN!!!
