An Independent Comics Creator (I try to convince my self that its by choice)

I am a husband and father of two beautiful girls and have been an aspiring comics creator since high school. I am currently working on a graphic novel (my preferred form of printed publishing) and also some short work for online publishing that I hope to put out soon.

Some of my favorite creators include:
Warren Ellis, Frank Miller, Alan Moore, Neil Gaiman, Bryan Hitch, Colleen Doran, Frank Quitely, China Mieville, John Cassaday, and many other- these are just the ones that come to mind.

Not really a fan of the mainstream stuff anymore, as its just more of the same over and over. That's why I like graphic novels and stand alone finite stories. But I guess if you want to make a decent living at this, there's only a few places you can do that. But, as we have come to learn from the creator of this online community, the web is changing that so we'll see.
