I'm old enough to remember buying (OK, my mom buying for me) Superboy comics off the spinning rack for 12 cents a pop. Four decades later, I'm still snatching a handful of books a week. Thank god my allowance has appreciated some since the mid-'60s.

When I'm not reading Y, the Last Man, Ex Machina, Strangers In Paradise, Birds of Prey, Fables or Powers (just for starters, but those top the list). I've been a Legion fan for a looooong time, and have enjoyed/suffered though the various incarnations.

I prowl Digital Webbing and am trying to improve my chops in artwork and digital coloring (hardly a pro, but the commissions are fun). Once things are enabled here, I'll post a few.

Oh, the "journalist" thing. I'm an editor for my local newspaper (woo hoo), and over the years (and years) I've written comic-related pieces for the fishwrapper. Alas, my dream of writing for comics has yet to be fulfilled. Perhaps someone can help there ;-D ?

I've also learned to love webcomics. What an amazing, growing medium/community. Every from Yirmumah to Questionable Content to Gunnerkrigg Court -- the depth and breadth of ideas and talent are stunning.
