So I am glad to announce that EL VALIENTE is joining the war!!! EL VALIENTE has been talking to Richard Dominguez creator of EL GATO NEGRO for a few months and a couple of weeks ago, Richard posted on his MySpace blog that EL GATO NEGRO would be involved in the mega Indie crossover event of 2008 known as WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS written by Dave Ryan and published by ARCANA. EL VALIENTE was happy for him seeing as how EL GATO is one of the Hispanic heroes who inspired EL VALIENTE. The Deadline to submit for the crossover, since it was open to any and all Indie publishers and creators was January 1st. So EL VALIENTE had no idea that EL VALIENTE could have submitted himself to participate in the war, most of these Indie characters are going to have cameos and only a few iconic Indie characters such as SAVAGE DRAGON, SHI, MADMAN, CRY FOR DAWN and other more established characters would have more of a spotlight in the crossover. To El VALIENTE'S surprise Richard contacted and asked if El VALIENTE would like to be involved in the war effort alongside...EL GATO NEGRO!!! EL VALIENTE was ecstatic and quickly agreed to enlist. So later this year; the team-up you knew had to happen is going down. Richard will be writing EL GATO NEGRO/EL VALIENTE in a pivotal chapter of WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS. The story is still in its initial stages but will feature THE NOCTURNAL WARRIOR & THE MASKED MONSTER SLAYER battling demonic forces in Mexico and it will lead into the crossover WAR OF THE INDEPENDENTS in 2008!!! Hey Valiente, I saw your article in the El Paso times and I loved it! Except for the picture. There was some dude with an ugly mug holding up your comic. It ruined the whole thing for me. Who was that guy anyway? He looks like a grotesque version of the rather handsome Juan Muro.
By the way, your comic rocked!

no problem bro. no se de los 656 comics, de hecho hasta ahorita me ando dando cuenta. muy interesante porke la comunidad de comics no es muy grande en Juarez. a la siguiente ves ke vaya a juarez le voy a hechar un vistaso y a ver si me consigo amigos asi en ese ambiente porke de hecho no tengo amigos kon kien platicar de comics, con unos cuantos pero no toman muy enserio esto de los comics. digo tampoco me la paso hablando de puros comics pero al parecer acabo de hacer eso ahorita mismo. es solo ke no hablo muy seguido de comics. bueno hombre ahi nos estamos viendo. |
