I am a 50-year-old, NY-based writer who works as a secretary (currently between jobs and actively searching for a new full-time position), married to a comic book artist who makes his living as an inker (currently doing Tangent: Superman's Reign for DC and various bits and bobs for Marvel). We have two cats; alas, no children. I've been reading all kinds of comics for about 25 years now, and writing about them for over a decade. I've had four comic stories published, all for fundraising/charity books. These days I can be found most often posting to my blog, Pen-Elayne on the Web. I am also a weekly columnist for ComicMix, a pop-culture website featuring original comic book content by industry luminaries.
