I'm a longtime fan of comics (since '92), Amazing Spider-Man being the first comic to catch my eye. Since then, I've collected fairly regularly (with a few dry spells.) My original plan for a career was to become an artist for one of the big two, but that went off to the sidelines when I went to college for 3D animation and video game design.

However, so far nothing in that field has panned out (long story), and oddly I seem to be right back in the comic thing. Right now I do flats for Avalon Studios as a freelancer as well as work in my local comic shop.

Flats
I've done flats* for several Marvel books, the current run on Athena Voltaire (Coming end of 2007), as well as some other small projects. I am very interested in expanding books and works that I flat for, and hopefully might make some contacts through this site. If you are interested in having me flat your work, please PM me here, and we can go from there. I do charge (I'm poor as hell, I gotta charge :P ) Rates are negotiable depending on the work and deadlines, though I will start my rates at $10 a page (the going rate atm). So if you're interested in having me flat, please feel free to IM me, and we can talk more. I can show you some of my past flats (depending on if they're released or not and other legal stuffs).

*Flats are the color selections on pages, making the colorist's job easier. The colors I choose for the flats are not necessarily used, just the areas selected by color. Confused? Just PM me and I can show you. ;)

Game Reviews
I also review video games for Grrl Gamer as well as write occasional media stuff in my feminist/geek blog. They're my opinions and experiences, so you obviously don't have to agree with them. ;)

Thanks to my job, I get comics at a lower price, plus access to pretty much anything that comes out. Anyway, here's the list (including web comics)

As I'm sure you know, Athena Voltaire rules. I'm a sucker for anything Rupublic Serial Saturday Matinee style, and AV takes the crown at the moment, what with the intense action, genuinely funny dialogue, the evocative illustration... and the snazzy flats that tie it all together, obviously! Are you planning on writing any fiction stuff some time?
