I'm working on self-publishing a collection of comics right now by local artists and writers. The production, Comic Exposure, is a part of my senior thesis, and will address social and political issues. I hope that by undertaking a publication with such themes, Comic Exposure will engage both creators and readers in a dialogue surrounding pressing topics in the world today, and also art and comics as a genre. The aim for this series of comics is to bring current issues to the forefront of conversation, while simultaneously experimenting with the form and frameworks of the comic medium.

The book will culminate with a release party at the Vault of Midnight comic book store, so stay tuned for info!

I'm also founder of the Comic Club at U of M, where we read, create, and discuss comics. The Comic Club has taken on this publication, and hopes to make it an annual affair. Many Comic Exposure artists and writers are Comic Club members.
