I wanted to take some time in this new year to thank you folks for your support of me and my little comic strip Town Called Dobson. We crossed the 500th Strip threshold this past year, got printed in some great independent newspapers, got to show off how I create TCD at Adobe over the summer and the continued presence in the blogosphere is always a blessing. Without your support, readership and emails, TCD would never have made it so long. It is with the deepest heart I thank you all. It is vital that progressive issues are represented in editorial cartooning, especially in these days of dwindling news readership.

Your consistent support and strip devotion has earned Town Called Dobson a 2008 Weblog Award Nomination for Best Webcomic. I am stunned to be nominated and I am sure Karl Rove was secretly working behind the scenes to kill the nomination off, but "Hope" wins again!

I use www.ka-blam.com. I have had no problems at all with them, plus they have a sister site www.indyplanet.com that will sell them online for you. I highly recommend them.

We have recently been establishing a relationship with the Rhode Island School of Design and have our meetings there. We typically meet the 1st Saturday of every month. For February, however, we are participating in a gaming convention in downtown Providence. I have invited the chapter members to come to that instead of a meeting. I'm rushing around getting the last three issues pages blocked out and then the scripting can begin. The pencils for issue one are done. Mike is now starting on the inks. Brian is now starting on the page break down for issue two. Monstercon was a blast and a half.
