Starting in 2000, our first project was the highly acclaimed unofficial Doctor Who fanthology Walking In Eternity, with all profits going to the Foundation for the Study of Infant Death. In 2002, we unveiled our first anthology comic: The Girly Comic, a National Comic Award runner-up in 2004 and Comics Creators Guild nominee in 2006, The Girly Comic is a multi-genre title featuring female-led stories by an eclectic cast of creators, from seasoned professionals like John Stokes to exciting new talents like Karrie Fransman, side by side with stars of the UK small press scene such as Lee Kennedy and Terry Wiley. In 2004, we took over publishing duties for Mike Sivier's Violent! with issue 6. Another anthology, but this time with the emphasis very much on the darkly comedic side of life, and outrageous characters such as The Tallyman, Knuckles, The Flatworm and Hard-Boiled Hitler. A Comics Creators Guild Award 2006 nominee. Jay Eales was News Editor for the award-winning online comics magazine Borderline, and his comics have appeared in Zarjaz, Violent!, The Girly Comic, Norwegian teenage comic Baddis and the UK DVD edition of the film American Splendor. Most recently, strips appeared in Negative Burn issue 6 and The Mammoth Book of Best New Manga. Selina Lock has been published in Borderline, Baddis, Redeye and The Girly Comic.

Thanks! Though I can't claim the credit. It's the work of PJ Holden, a buddy of mine who kindly let me use it. The character is called Mr Ego, which I thought was kind of appropriate for me. ; )

Pardon this pre - written/fourm Seasons Greetings, as always we wish for peace on earth, and in this New Year may you have the wisdom to drink no more than one glass of alcohol for every too of alcohol and not drive… er, no. That’s water. One of alcohol and 2 of water- yah - so as to not get a bad hangover due to over conviviality. And maybe a nice bit of nosh too, a bit of nuts and cheese. And hey, some roasted meat or appropriate vegetarian substitute - but not tofurky, god that stuff is awful - so you don’t puke and look green like the other day at my friends place – the water that is, so you don’t puke - and the nosh so there is something solid to soak it all up with - her poor roommate I saw there while waiting to go to the bus station. And yah, don’t forget to not spend your buss or taxi money on all that like I did once - stick it in your shoe or something, unless you expect to loos those at some point. What was I saying? Oh yah, so happy New Year all! |
