The Pilean Empire has devoured nations. It has slaughtered savages. It has civilized wild places, and it is at war with those who have not yet fallen under its feet. But great power always breeds great opposition, and countless are the plots set against Emperor Pileaus. He has long survived through wit and strength. Many believe him unkillable.

But even Pileaus cannot foresee the danger that is growing within his own court, or the dark things that stir in the slums of his capital. His wit and his strength will soon become his greatest liabilities.

Baeg Tobar is a world brought to life by a dedicated and diverse community of artists and writers. By embracing mythological concepts, natural science, and a level of technology fast approaching that of the American Industrial Revolution and then blending those ingredients with traditional elements of magic and heroism, this community has created a setting and lifestyle both familiar and fantastic.
