Fandom Comics was opened on Friday, May 13th 2005 by Keith "Nar" Kappel, Ryan "Tron" Brooks, and artist Steve Criado with the intent to bring to Star Wars Fandom quality Star Wars Fan Comics and D20 RPG material. We are currently running two comic books that update on alternating months, with two new pages added to a book upon each update.

Our flagship title, Cracken's Crew: The Invisible War tells the story of a band of a Rebel Alliance Intelligence Field Team led by the legendary General Airen Cracken. The unit of grizzled veterans and misfits embark on a mission whose outcome could tip the balance of the Galactic Civil War! Written by Keith "Nar" Kappel, Drawn by Steve Criado, and lettered by Ryan "Tron" Brooks. 17 pages are posted of the first 22 page issue. The series is planned for 4 issues.

Our second title, Tales of the Chu'unthor, provides a glimpse into history, looking at the galaxy four-hundred years prior to the Clone Wars. The Chu'unthor was a massive Jedi Training ship that traveled the galaxy, righting wrongs and exploring. Our four-issue tale chronicles the Chu'unthor's maiden voyage from the Abhean Shipyards through hutt space! Appearances by a very young Master Yoda! Written by Keith "Nar" Kappel, Drawn by TJ Colligan, and lettered by Ryan "Tron" Brooks.

Our other major release on the site is the Clone Wars D20 Fan Sourcebook. We currently have full write-ups and stats for over 225 NPCs that appeared in various publications during the Clone Wars media blitz, covering novels, cartoons, figures, comics and video games! The chapters are downloadable in .pdf format and have been getting rave reviews on both the Wizards of the Coast and Swrpgnetwork.com forums! A new chapter update is posted every month! Written by both Keith "Nar" Kappel and Ryan "Tron" Brooks with illustrations by dozens of incredibly talented guest artists!

There are also four different comic titles in various stages of development written by Keith "Nar" Kappel or Ryan "Tron" Brooks that have yet to have pages posted.

Hi there! We’re starting up this year’s Small Press Idol…and wanted to invite you to the grand unveiling of this year’s Guidelines. I apologize for the all-in-one nature of this. At this time, individuals and teams have a little over a month to get things together and be ready to post their Round 1 entries. Round 1 will last till March 25th. It’s a solid window to get a project together and qualified for Round 2 past our judge panel. If you are interested in being a contestant, this is fair warning to get a project going!
If you are a news outlet or resource of any sort, we invite you to help spread the word about Small Press Idol, and get on the official Sponsors and Supporters list on the Idol Main Page. Traditionally, the page has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits a month for the 5 months the contest runs. All we ask in return for the link placement on our prominently placed list, is a link back in some way that is fairly prominent, and that you indeed cover the contest if you are a news site. You can contact us about that right from the guidelines page.
Just want to watch the show? That’s great! Now is time to sign up at the site so you can VOTE in the rounds to come, and post comments about your favorites! We’re expecting hundreds of contestants this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Hope this message reaches you in the spirit it was intended, you are welcome to ask questions, and otherwise make sure this is for real. This is the fourth year for the SPI. Last year’s contest pages are still online. So that’s what this is about, hope it interests you!

wahoo, a fellow star wars gamer!

Had to hook up with ya for sure. I'm still more of a fan of the D6 from back in the day but maybe I can adapt some of your d20 stuff for it. Look forward to checking out your star wars comics--particularly the Cracken title.
