Created in 1995 as a comic book convention, and with the additions of the Japanese Animation Festival (anime) 1998, the Science Fiction Expo(1999), the horror expo(2004), and the Gaming Expo(2005) the Expo has turned into a massive multi-media event. Fan Expo Canada has become a flagship platform for companies to advertise and launch their products and services to tens of thousands of fans within these genres.
