A life long fan of comic books and pop culture, I started regularly writing letters to various comic companies in the late 1990s. After having dozens of letters published in the pages of books and magazines such as Superman, Rising Stars and Wizard, I turned to the internet as an outlet for my writing. In 2002 I joined the staff of (the now defunct) pop culture website, The Comic Skin Network, contributing comic book reviews and articles. My column, "The View From the Comfy Chair", quickly became the anchor of the comic section. After three years as chief correspondent for the site, I made the move to Broken Frontier in early 2005.
In addition to regularly contributing pieces on the history of comic books, conducting interviews with industry pros and the occassional review, I spend a good portion of my time to creating my own comic scripts and concepts. I'm always interested in chatting with people with like-minded interests. I'm also open to suggestions for upcoming articles and interviews for Broken Frontier. Any creators interested in setting up interviews or sending review copies can contact me either here through Comicspace, my Myspace page or through Broken Frontier. Finally, as a "professional amateur" writer, I'm interested in potential collaborations and would be very keen in meeting any artists that might be inclinded to pool our resources for creating comics. ### Looking to the Clouds With his vision of a Bizarre New World taking flight, writer Skipper Martin landed at Broken Frontier to discuss his debut mini-series from Ape Entertainment.
