Andrew Foley just inadvertantly deleted everything he'd spent the last half hour typing about himself for his ComicSpace profile. He's gone to find a dark corner he can sob quietly in.

...

OK, he's back. Let's try this again.

Andrew Foley has written the critically acclaimed but poor-selling graphic novel PARTING WAYS, with artists Scott Mooney and Nick Craine, the critically ignored and only slightly better-selling miniseries with art by The Future of Comics Fiona Staples, and, with co-writer Fred Van Lente, the critically inexpensive and ridiculously high-selling graphic novel COWBOYS & ALIENS.

Originally published by the now-defunct Speakeasy Comics, PARTING WAYS can still be bought from Diamond Distributors, though the only thing Andrew, Scott, and Nick will get out of that is a warm feeling. Diamond has told them it is keeping any money received from sales of PARTING WAYS to pay off Speakeasy's outstanding debt to the company. A new publisher will be announced as soon as humanly possible, believe me.

The five issues of DONE TO DEATH, published by Markosia Entertainment, are all available from Diamond, though you might have to pester them for several weeks to get them to admit it.

In addition to being on comic shop shelves on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, Platinum Studios' COWBOYS & ALIENS is being serialized online at DrunkDuck.com, where it can be read for free.

Foley's future comic work include a bunch of stuff he's not allowed to talk about, and THE SPOOKY KIDS, a graphic novel drawn by The Future of Comics (II) John Keane.

Like most unknown comic writers, Foley is always on the look-out for good, reliable artists he can take advantage of--er, I mean collaborate with.

Foley lives in the frigid wasteland of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with his lovely and talented wife, graphic designer Tiina Andreakos, their lovely but useless cats Jewel and Smoky, and a dog that can sing named Data.

Foley is going to be referring to himself in the third person for the rest of the night now. Thanks a lot, ComicSpace.

PS: Please don't call Foley "Andy". If you ever met him, you'd realize he just isn't an Andy. Not that he's got a problem with people named Andy--he just isn't one of them.

When it's time for you to get one of those cutesie Hollywood nicknames, I think you should go with "A-Fo."
