24 Hour Comic Day in San Antonio.. anyone interested?

24 Hour Comic Day is Saturday October 20th, 2007!!!

So far there are events scheduled in 31 states across the US. Austin even has an event going on.. I would love to get San Antonio on the map but it seems previous 24hCD events here have been duds.

I know I'm a pretty lazy guy but c'mon.. are we really all talk? Where are all the comic artists who really want to create?

So far most of the local CBS's aren't willing to bother but ONE local comic book shop is thinking of sponsoring it... BUT only if we can provide enough attendees to make it worth their while. I'm looking for a MINIMUM of 10 artists, hopefully more, willing to hang out and draw. You don't have to be there the whole 24 hours, just as long as it takes to create your comic!

This is a really generous offer from one of SA's most indie friendly comic book shops so let's show them we're serious about the San Antonio Comic Scene!!!

It's only 1 week away so, If anyone is interested in doing this, please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

24 Hour Comic Day is an annual event where artists around the world each try to create 24 pages of comics in 24 hours.

Last year, over 1200 artists took part at events in 17 countries.
On October 20th, 2007, artists around the world will once again face the 24 hour comics challenge.

To help them, some comic book stores, educational institutions, libraries, businesses, and comics clubs will host special 24 Hour Comics Day events. They'll provide artists with a space to work, access to food and drink, and camaraderie.
