PLZ REPOST: 24 Hour Comic Day in SA!!!!

24 Hour Comic Day is Saturday October 20th, 2007!!!

So far there are events scheduled in 31 states across the US. Austin even has an event going on. I know SA has a much better comic scene than Austin, right? RIGHT?? *lol*

Dragon's Lair, San Antonio's most indie friendly comic shop is thinking of sponsoring it... BUT only if we can provide enough participants to make it worth their while. I'm looking for a MINIMUM of 10 artists, hopefully more, willing to hang out and draw. You don't have to be there the whole 24 hours, just as long as it takes to create your comic!

Cartoonists, comic artists, writers, amateurs and pros.. Anyone who's ever wanted to make a comic is welcome to join. It's your chance to hang out with other comic ppl and create that story you've always wanted!

I need a headcount and i need it soon!!! This is a really generous offer from our local comic book shops so let's show them what we can do here!! If anyone is interested in doing this, please let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

24 Hour Comic Day is an annual event where artists around the world each try to create 24 pages of comics in 24 hours.

Last year, over 1200 artists took part at events in 17 countries.
On October 20th, 2007, artists around the world will once again face the 24 hour comics challenge.

To help them, some comic book stores, educational institutions, libraries, businesses, and comics clubs will host special 24 Hour Comics Day events. They'll provide artists with a space to work, access to food and drink, and camaraderie.
