THE OUTER SPACE MEN, as they were marketed by Colorforms, were a very short-lived highly imaginative line of poseable figures depicting alien life from the planets in our solar system and beyond. These figures represented the first venture into the action figure market by Colorforms company and were produced in the late sixties.

These figures were developed in two series, although, only the first set of seven figures made it to the store shelves. Series one included alien life forms from seven of the nine planets in our solar system, while series two consisted of six figures and planned on exploring the reaches beyond. (Series two never made it past the prototype stage.) Today, these highly sought after figures are considered by many collectors to be one of the most creative toy lines ever made. Thanks for the add! I remember that Colorforms made vinyl(?) playsets, but I didn't realize that they had made action figures.

I remember these characters from my (ill-spent) youth. I’d love to see them in a comic!
