The required background info:

Been a comic fan for over 30 years. I go back in forth in my reading habits but mostly DC and indys now. Marvel has really killed it for me the last year or so. Except for Marvel Zombies, which I loved. Of course I love anything zombie. Which tells you my favorite book right now is The Walking Dead. I'm mainly a Legion of Super-Heroes fan (see below) but TWD is my absolute favorite at the moment, has been since it started.

Couldn't tell you what my first comic was but it was probably an Archie. Still read about Archie and the gang in good old Riverdale but mostly through the monthly double digests. I collect them up every couple of years and donate them to the local children's hospital. Gotta remember to do that soon, the books are piling up.

I do remember my first Legion book though. Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes #210. The one with Soljer. I remember this one well since I got it right after my father passed away. Been reading the Legion ever since (with some time off during what is known as the "Archie" Legion). There has never been another super-team that I enjoyed as much or a character I've identified myself with as much as Garth Ranzz, Lightning Lad (please, not that poser Live Wire).

Personally, I've been married to my wonderful wife for 15 years (just earlier this month, March 2007). We don't have children unless you count our cats, which are our children as far as we're concerned. She's not as into comics as I am but does have her particular likes; the Legion (thanks to me) and most of the old-style horror genre, especially vampires.

As a Legion of Super-Heroes fan living in Utah, I'm always looking for other fans out here in the desert. I run a couple of Legion sites: the largest Legion message board around, Legion World; my news-site for all Legion related stuff, The Legion Clubhouse; and the one and only Legion of Super-Heroes wiki (forget Wikipedia), Legion Wiki. All of this is for fun (and love of the Legion), no profit.
