The stuff in your galleries looks great, Cosmo! Shoot me an e-mail if you might be looking for sequential work in the not-too-distant future! |

Those monster paintings are SWEEEEEEEET. Escalation is a GREAT concept for a series, too. Looks good! |

Sorry for the none reply...I really was going to get around to it eventually!
Anyway, no, this Doc Wilde is unrelated to the other Doc Wilde, so we will probably have to look into copyright info and maybe make a change. Although, really, you can have multiple characters within the same medium sharing a name so long as there is not a reasonable possibility that a consumer might confuse one brand with another. It's tricky, but that's how it works for the most part.
Anyway, sorry once again for the none reply...we just got back from WW Chicago on Monday and all week has been catch-up week. We're finalizing plans for Mid-Ohio Con 2007 and NY Comic-Con 2008 and co-ordinating art teams on several new books...plus trying to write and draw stuff...so sometimes it takes a while! |

And thus, the buzz begins for Hadrian Hilliard and Tantalizing Tales...this from the Aint It Cool News review posted yesterday:
"The first story is some serious gothic kooky fun with Hadrian Hilliard, the Gentleman Barbarian, who politely takes down a sinister society set to subjugate civilization, with all the action a tactful barbarian would need. There's no lesson taught here, only thick adventure. Ridiculous? Yes. Outlandish? Sure. Fun? Definitely."
I've said it before and I'll say it again: TT will be out before the end of the year.
Wait'll they get a load of Conghost... 1 Reply [ Latest posted on April 2nd, 2007 10:32 PM ]

RE: Your new Pulp gallery.
You, sir, are the worst kind of braggart. If you were any kind of good, you would--at least occasionally--post something that sucks, thus not seizing each and every opportunity to rub everyone's face in your talent
"oooh, look at me, I've spent years perfecting my artistic abilites..."
That's you. That's what you sound like. Good day, sir.
I said good day! 2 Replies [ Latest posted on March 28th, 2007 1:57 PM ]

I'm simply saying that it isn't nice to constantly rub people's noses in the fact that your work is so spectacular. Show-off. There is probably an entire generation of mediocre artists out there who are now suicidal having seen work produced at a level they will never attain. Every once in a while you should post some crap. That way, they'll think, "Hey, Klauba and I have something in common: I draw crap, he draws crap." Because right now they have nothing in common with you at all.
So, to sum up, you need to start posting some crap...enough of this good stuff. The universe itself might hang in the balance. |

"Can you get The Wanderers to get rid of John Mayer while you're at it? I hate John Mayer..."
He IS kind of a sissy little wuss, isn't he? And the worst part is, some women really get into that and then they expect us to be all wussy like that, too. I mean, I can be plenty romantic...if I didn't know how to treat a lady, I wouldn't have had the coolest girlfriend ever for the last three years...but don't ask me to be a whiny little momma's boy.
It's called Rock & Roll, John Mayer. Look it up. 1 Reply [ Latest posted on March 1st, 2007 12:32 AM ]

Just yesterday I received a package in the mail from an old friend with a John Mayer disc in it. The F#@*n' thing went straight in the garbage. Hate him. |

Well, I'm sure the dude doesn't even go to WW Chicago...but I'm gonna keep talking it up, and I might even publish the challenge in the Diamond Edition of GJCP # 1.
He's like, an old guy from what I hear (or, at least older...he's a grandad), but I'll beat his ass like a drum if I have to.
Not like he doesn't have it coming. |

Well, he claims to be a former Marine (something that is seriously in question), so I would think he won't be a total pussy and might actually feel like he needs to show up and defend his manhood. We'll see how far this goes. I might publish this as an open challenge in all of our nationally distributed books, beginning in May. |

The pooping gets 'em every time.
By the way, we're still interested in having you do a bit of coloring work on that two-page spread, if you're interested. I was going to be dropping you a line within the next few days...so this might be fate... |

Dude, you missed an awesome show. You MUST come out for WW Chicago...we've got big plans. More on that later. If you cover transportation and your room, we've got your table/badge covered for the whole weekend!!! Maybe you and Nate carpool/split a room? I'm trying to convince him to come out, too.

Thanks once again for the kind words, Dave. I look forward to seeing what's next from Gothic Romance, The Faustians, and all the other great titles you have coming down the pipe.
And, of course, I hope we get the opportunity to work together sooner rather than later!

No problem Aaron. I figured you'd get back to me when you had a chance, and I've been busy myself.
I'm actually talking with Gentleman Barbarian artist David Golding about doing some work for me as well.
I wasn't playing around when I said I'm a big fan of General Jack Cosmo Productions!
Thanks for the add, and talk to you soon! |
