After retiring from a civil service job after all these years, I have decided to pursue my first love of breaking into the comic book business.Way back when, I had gone to Manhattan's High School of Art & Design but for different reasons I never followed through with it.My first published work is out in Slam Bang # 3 by Fanatic Press which was released this past spring.I have inked a short story called "the Misadventures of Uncle Doug"-it features the peerless pencil work of Giancarlo Lima and the surly scripting of Chris Moshier.I met a male nurse at my school pursuing a graduate degree with whom I am collaborating with on a comic strip we'd eventually like to try to get syndicated. Being it's about two nurses, Jeff Sorrell draws from his experience in the health care industry for some wacky situations.The first two posted pages are our first time working together and is also in SLAM BANG #3.I would love to gain more experience with any independent projects as an inker.I have finally included samples of some of work in the gallery.Any questions, feel free to contact me.

Speaking of SLAM BANG,C. William Cooke, a new talent on the scene, has collaborated with me on a short story entitled "Drum Solo" for their next edition which will feature music and anything to do with it as their theme.C. William is amazing-I asked him for a story, and e-mailed me a script that same night,lol.Way to go!

As of this writing,Rx Tales is coming together.It is a collection of wacky stories with wacky characters, all with the underlying theme of doctors, nurses, hospitals,etc.Among our many contributors are Martin Malin,Gregory Anderson,Carolina Pontes,Empro Maciek,Richard Pech,C. William Cooke,Kotsu,etc.It has taken a while to put it together as we have encountered many who promise but don't deliver.It will appear under the MC Studios logo and tentatively set for release in early 2009.
