My name is George A. Tramountanas. It may seem kinda pompous to include the middle initial, but it's necessary - there are 2 other George Tramountanas' (believe it or not!). I'm not the poker-playing champion (that's my uncle), and I'm not the kid born in the 80's who's currently attending WSU (that's my cousin). I'm a humble child of the 70's.
I was born and raised in Seattle, and was crazy enough to move to Los Angeles for a good portion of my 20's. I'm a writer, filmmaker, and comic book journalist for www.comicbookresources.com when I'm not working my 9-5 job for "the man." I married my high school sweetheart, have 2 fantastic kids, and thank God for an interesting life!
If you want a link to my blog because you're interested in the crazy notions running around in my mind, shoot me an email! Peace!

We believe you George! You must be a Greek, right? My name's Kyri. My cousin (George) is another Greek guy also part of the group. In our family we have at least three more Georges...and another two Kyri's! Christmas dinner is going to be confusing as hell tomorrow...

Hey there!
I am Greek and I have a dozen cousins named George too (including 2 relatives with the same last name). It's just nifty...
I hope your Christmas was great, and I look forward to seeing some of your art!
Cheers, Just another George |

Hey, I just checked out comicresources.com, and found it very interesting! I'll have to go there more often...
I hope I'm not being too forward, but do you guys ever interview underground creators? It seems like a pretty big site, so I'm guessing it doesn't? I'm not asking for myself, but rather David Berner, my writer whom I met on the net a few months ago. He's a real talent (in my humble opinion!) and I'm sure he'd appreciate the exposure.
Anyway, now I've rambled on, asking for silly things even though we've just met, I promise our conversations from now on will not involve asking for anything, no taramosalata, nor pitta!
Take it easy, don't be a stranger!

Hey Kyri,
I hope I'm replying to this the right way. Regarding David Berner, does he have a book coming out? Is he strictly webcomics? Occasionally, we do profiles, but usually we like to have a reason to "springboard" the piece (they have a book coming out, they've won an award, etc.).
Does he have a web page I can look at? |

His website is brokenvoice.co.uk. For the moment, he is strictly webcomics, but we will be looking for a publisher for 'Hunted' (our collaboration) very soon, as I'm on the tenth page now. You can see the 1st page here:

I understand what you mean, there has to be a reason to interview someone. Hopefully soon, there will be! I'll be in touch. Best of luck with it all.
So what's your story then, are you an aspiring comic book writer too? |

Yep. An aspiring comic writer / filmmaker. You can see my latest film here: http://films.thelot.com/films/2324
If you have a sec, register and rate my film (5 stars is always nice). As you can see, my film sorta has a "superhero" vibe to it too.
Please keep me informed about your project. You can always email me too at george@comicbookresources.com.
Cheers, George |

Thanks George, will do. I checked out the link, but I think you have to be a member there to view the films, is that right? Have you got it on the old Youtube? |
 |

Maybe you do have to be a member. I don't have it on YouTube, because I want people to come and see it at the contest site where they can rate it.
If you have a sec, register and check it out. ;)
Cheers! |

Sorry for the late, LATE reply! I just checked out your film '9 seconds'. I really liked it, great idea. It was very clever to make his time-travel limited to a short space of time. And you hae four stars! That means a lot of people must think the same ting. Good for you, I hope it all goes well for you George! Best of luck,
Kyri |

As a ComicSpace friend, may I ask you to help support the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (www.moccany.org)? Become a member today! You'd be the one and only George Tramountanas in MoCCA! Thanks. |
