My name is Gibson Twist and my comics make people cry. I write (and sometimes draw) about life in a decidedly unglamourous way, and hopefully I do a good job of it.

I've been making small press comics (badly) since the age of 15, and have worked as a freelance writer and graphic designer for the past decade. My artwork has been featured in art galleries throughout Maritime Canada, and I am an alumni of the art collective Emerge here in New Brunswick. My comics have been featured in the 24 Hour Comics Day 2005 anthology and won second place in the 2006 Comics Jam War with my goombah Ben Steeves(Dangerface).

Ben and I have been working together again on a new book called Our Time in Eden, which looks fantastic thanks to, in my opinion, the best art he has ever done, and that's saying something. We're currently shopping for a publisher if anyone happens to have one laying around.

Currently, you can find my work in both comics and prose at my site The Lounge and my webcomics Pictures of You and Cheap Shots. I'm really up for talking about the art of creating comics, especially writing, so feel free to drop a line.

Also, I'm starting a project tentatively called 100 Nights Drunk in which I'm hoping to feature 100 artists in the same story (each artist gets their own day...or night). It might sound clunky, but I am convinced it can and will work. Anyone interested in hearing more, let me know, it should be fun.
