| Bulletin: | When: Nov. 2, 2008 Where: Marriot Hotel on Clairmont What: Atlanta Comic Conventions last show this year GIRAF Network's Director of Media Ops Olivia T and I were there bright and early Sunday morning. Placing our product at proper optimal points for purchase. Bidding good days to fellow artist Bobby Nash and Buzz Carter. Saying hello to our table mate Parson 2nd chair from the wonderful MoMoCoN. Of course, going into A.C.C we don't ever expect to make alot of cash. We're there mainly for show. To tell people that GIRAF Network is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Charity, set out to keep art in schools, gangs out, and obliterate illiteracy through the Arts Awareness in Education program. Letting people know about our NEW programs like: N2Deep; Where artist can, draw/paint/animate/photo a few pages of a pre-written story to, promote there own name on our site as well as help promote the quick raising web comic industry. And "Let Art Back in School" Petition Campaign; A petition to be signed and sent to the Stated Education Board as well as other state Rep's. Letting them know that, we believe, with the dropping rates in Art, Music, and Phys Ed programs there is a direct link to the raising drop out and gang violence rates. And we want it to change. My approach to the show is like a Carnival Barker, be annoyingly loud so everyone can hear me; while keeping it up beat and interesting, so while they are hear me they actually listen to what I have to say. People are starting to listen. So while telling the great things about GIRAF. They are flipping through the books and seeing that they are pretty damn good. And they are buying them. This show we sold over 10 books, the most I've ever sold at any show. But the best thing is we made even more then that in Donations. Which means people are hearing us, they are starting to listen, and care. I can't wait to see what happens at the next CON, Something-or-Other CON. GIRAF Network Asst.
