Header: How to send an AVATAR MAIL!
Bulletin: Would you like a program/application that makes it possible for you to send animated Ecards with a male or a female avatar playing your message?

You can download this application, Darik Mail, below. The download and the use is totally free. First a little information ...

The avatar mail idea is really an extension of the same design and methods I use in Darik virtual Chat. You have a male or a female avatar whith different facial expressions and body language. The message is displayed in a speach bubble, that scales according to length of message. Runtime, the effect is that of animation. The avatars come alive.

The Darik Mail creates a new mail, by generating a little script that can be read by the Mail application. You save the script as a text-file, and then you can send the file to anyone in possession of the Darik Mail application - as an attached file. The functions and the user interface are easy to handle.

The Darik Mail is a full-screen flash application, runs on PC, Windows and is made for traditional screen format (not widescreen). You can download it here:

Or you can go to:

WHY?
Now, some of you might know that I'm a creator of webcomics, and am in fact running an online serial, Darik, on a commercial basis. So why the *bleep* bother with the fancy applications stuff?

The answer is, I belong to the Scott McCloud school of comic creators. What that implies is, that a digital comic is not the same as a printed comic, and certainly not something less valuable. Us McClouders firmly believe that by swimming happily around in that digital ocean, we find the comics of the future, experimenting and using all sorts of interesting digital media options.

Like, e.g., The Darik Mail.
